Purchasing a USB MP3 FM Transmitter
Have you ever thought about eliminating the need to burn CDs by listening to music directly through your MP3 player while driving? In fact, this is not impossible because it can be done with the help of a device known as the MP3 FM transmitter. This is one of the best gadgets that you should purchase because it provides you the ability to stream almost endless number of music through your car stereo system without having to change any cassettes or CDs.
Don’t complicate the small gadget because it is easy enough for anyone to use. All you need to do is to connect the transmitter into a power adapter and you can start operating it. The majority of the modern cars now have power adapter but if you are still driving an older car, the cigarette lighter adapter still works well.
I would recommend getting the USB MP3 FM transmitter because it will be easier for you to connect to storage devices such as thumb drive, laptop or even the MP3 player. After you have connected the 2 devices, you can start to tune to an unused frequency channel through the FM transmitter. Read the instruction manual that comes along with the device if you are unsure of this. Once this is done, you can tune your car stereo to the specified frequency that you have set and you will be able to enjoy your favorite music now.
Most of the transmitters are between the range of $20 to $100 and it would definitely be much cheaper to install a brand new car stereo system that could support auxiliary in devices. Depending on the type of FM transmitters that you have bought and the location you are at, the audio quality might not be as good as you think. However, try to compromise this unless you can afford to get a new car stereo system. At least, you can now listen to music through your MP3 player which is much better than using CDs and cassettes. At the same time, you are bound to save some money in the long run because you no longer need to burn CDs again. If you currently do not possess any MP3 player, you can buy a 4 GB thumb drive for less than $30 which you can use to store around 400 songs. This is great value for money and I recommend that you get one.
Looking at how much technology has change our lives, we should adapt to it and move ahead. Make use of the USB MP3 FM transmitter to stream music in our cars and get rid of the old CDs and cassettes. If you want the best deal, remember to compare the prices between the online and offline stores.

DIY Car Stereo
Installing a stereo in your car is no easy task. However, there are thousands of Americans out there just like you who were interested in saving money and successfully installed their own stereo. Most of them are not even mechanics!
One of the best things that you can do first is to read the instruction manual that comes with the speakers, the head piece, or the amplifier. Reading the directions before you start a project is always essential when you are working on a project that is as big as this one. Once you have fully read through the directions, take the installation one step at a time. Go through each step slowly and thoroughly to ensure that all components are installed properly.
Although each manufacturer’s installation instructions vary, it is advised that you start with a smaller system first. Do not try to do a full installation like something that you would see on “Pimp My Ride” because you will be doomed to fail. Trying to install the latest HDTV and gaming system integrated within the walls and seats of your cars when you are still new is going to put you in a position to fail. Rather, you should start by installing the head piece which is the easiest portion of the installation.
The head piece can generally be taken out without too much effort and then wired into the factory amplifier and speakers. Since the wires are already done for you by the manufacturer, getting the head piece installed and connected to the existing wires is a fairly simple task. To reiterate, this is not a substitute for reading the directions.
When you are wiring the head piece, make sure that you buy a head piece with adapters especially if you are buying a “one piece fits all” head piece. If your car is more rare then the average American or Japanese car, then you should check with the manufacturer before buying the head piece. This installation will be great practice for when you want to start working on the speaker and amplifier installation.
Always keep the safety do it yourself rules in mind when you install your car stereo. Make sure your car is off at all times and double check all wires prior to starting your car. Car stereo equipment is not cheap, and one loose wire could burn out the entire stereo system as well as causing damage to your car’s existing electrical system. If you follow the basic installation instructions that come with the stereo, be very patient, and double check all your work, then you can be like the thousands of other car fanatics out there who have successfully installed their own car stereo systems.

Yes, It’s a Car Stereo
Pretty clear isn’t it? It’s a stereo system in a car. But, it’s not as simple as that. Some people go out of their way to put home stereos in their car, truck or van but it doesn’t always work. Back in the day, maybe it would work alright. All you needed was a radio and a cassette player (or WAY back in the day, an 8 track). So go ahead and heft those huge speaker boxes into what little trunk you have left and “blast” down the road. Today at home though you have CD and MP3 players, pop up LCD panels and all sorts of tech stuff that you’d like smack in the middle of your ride. If you’re not the techie you’d like to be, hold on, there’s a few things to know about “car stereo”.
At first stereo units from home audio systems and the market place were just installed into vehicles. These early systems couldn’t take the temperature extremes and vibration that are normal in any vehicle. Sound enthusiasts weren’t satisfied with what came out of their car stereos. Then the CD player became available, and a lot of modifications had to be made in order for these home units to work well in the environment of a vehicle. Now we have modern car stereo.
New cars circa the early 90s to present day, usually came with a “factory” car stereo. The manufacturer installed the car stereo for the consumer, and included the cost in the price. Sometimes this is an option, but in most cases it’s standard with upgrades available for a higher price. Some manufacturers such as BMW make their own car stereos. BMWs by the way, is a pretty good package “head” (meaning standard) unit and speakers, and it’s a standard included with all of their cars. We all know the reputation of BMW. Mercedez Benz and Volkswagen use systems from the German audio manufacturer, Blaupunkt.
A standard unit usually has an auto-reverse tape deck, a CD player and sometimes a multiple CD changer. The last device automatically changes from one CD to another. The latest thing in new car models today is the MP3 player and other audio files such as WMA or AAC whether on CD or other memory device which can be connected to the head unit.
Now this standard or head unit is connected to several speakers. Older models had only 1 or 2 speakers mounted beneath the dashboard, with openings (like air vents) pointed towards the windshield. Todays’ standards call for a pair of “tweeters” for high treble in the front driver and passenger side dash, a mid-range speaker on each front door, occasionally on each rear door too of a large sedan, and bigger speakers for the lows at the rear of the back seats.
So the car stereo that came with your “new” car is probably alright as it is. Automobile manufacturers make sure their audio can handle most drivers listening demands. After all, this is one area they all compete with each other in. It’s no longer simply speed, reliability and safety. It’s also what can be called “quality content”. However if you think your unit just isn’t good enough, or you have and older car, can’t afford to trade it in, and you want a more up to date Car Stereo you have options. There are a lot of modern, high tech car stereo options out there. Just pick one and install it, or have a professional install it. Happy listening!
